AC Hotel Malaga Palacio
We spent 3 nights at the AC Hotel Malaga Palacio. We booked 2 rooms with King beds. One King bed was the only room type available on points at the time of booking. We used our Free night Certificates for these rooms.
I opened the Marriott Bonvoy Business card when the sign-up bonus was 5 free night certificates (Up to 45,000 points). My husband also had a Marriott free night certificate from this card, he has had his card for a while and it earns a Free Night Certificate annually. Free night certificates can be used for hotel stays that are up to a certain number of points. For example, the annual free night certificate with this card is up to 35,000 points. This can be tricky for Marriotts as their points per night are often very high and the points fluctuate.
This hotel was 41,000 points per night.
Location- The location of this hotel was PERFECT! It is right in the middle of town and within walking distance to almost everything you would want to do in Malaga.
Rooms- The rooms were on the smaller side (typical of Europe). The beds were so comfortable, I really love a firmer mattress and loved the mattress here. I slept great every night.
Gym- My husband and son used the gym and although on the smaller side, it had everything they needed for a good workout.
Restaurant- The restaurant was surprisingly good. The first day we arrived super early and our room was not ready so we hung out at the restaurant and seating area. I had a Caesar salad and the cheese/nut platter and it was delish! The served nuts and green olives as complimentary appetizers.

Staff-The staff and service was great! When we arrived at our rooms, we were greeted with a bottle of olive oil from Malaga (small enough to bring on the airplane in our carry-on) a sweet note and a pastry. It was very thoughtful, the second night, housekeeping left another complimentary pastry in our room that was common in Malaga. These thoughtful details are things I love when I stay at a hotel.

Overall- I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. The location was perfect, and everything was within walking distance. If your headed to Malaga, I highly suggest staying here.
